28th February. Happy Birthday to Me...!

Finally..we reach the end of the Fabulous month, and My Birthday.
This month has been really crazy work and blog wise. Doing 13 posts during the shortest month of the year..was in itself a big feat for me, and I don't think I might do it again.
But then, never say never.

When I was nominated for the The Liebster Award, the beautiful Shivali of Travel With Me, had asked a question, about the favourite thing about my blog. And I had said, that it is yet to come.
Today on my birthday, I am spilling the beans.
I am starting a new section, which is going to be my favourite section - The So-Nail Section.
Here I will post pics of my Nail Arts, which I try to do almost every week.

People have a misconception that Nail Art is a tedious job, and is very time-consuming.
Well, I say..to a certain extent it is true, but not entirely. And to prove my point, I am posting pics of the Newspaper Nail Art which I tried for the first time, over the last weekend.
The moment I had seen This Video on YouTube, I had wanted to try it.
It is so easy (you will be surprised) and hardly requires any skill. Plus it looks super cool.
So go ahead and take a look at the pictures.

For my Nail Art, I used a VOV White Nail Polish and Top Coat.

I bought the Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol from Walmart [sometimes (I repeat only sometimes) it
pays to have a husband who travels a lot for work.], but I am sure, it is available locally as well.

23rd February. Happy Birthday Sabyasachi !

Happy 60th Mummy !

Today I take this opportunity to introduce you to..the one and only... (drum rolls)

Mummy. My MIL.

As she turns 60 today (I am so proud of her..she doesn't hide her age) let me tell you a little about her.
Born in a Kutchi Family, this charming lady with the encouragement of her parents, did her MA in Hindi Literature while pursuing a degree in law simultaneoulsy. She went on to run her own very successful Computer Classes in the 90's inspite of coming from a completely different academic background. During her teens and mid 20's she struggled a lot with her weighty issues, but now she is like a nirvaana acquired soul who cannot be deviated from her life long commitment to health, even by the cheesiest of pizzas or the yummiest of desserts.
She is the one who taught me to cook, the one who clicks my endless pictures, likes all my pictures on FB, the one who organises my overly stuffed wardrobe every now and then, the one who still drapes my saree,and encourages me to do more [and binge less ;)] each day.
A mother of two and a guiding hand to many, she is one Inspirational Lady.
Happy Birthday Mummy. Wish you loads of Love, Happiness and Good Health.

A Month of Blogging..

Yesterday I completed a month of blogging.
Okay...I agree I was not blogging every day of the month, but with a full time job and household duties, I managed to surpass my self set goal of 4 posts a month. Feel so happy today.
Blogging is a tough job, and I have new found respect for all the bloggers. Hats off guys..U rock!

Highlights of my first month...
> Realised my Mom's pic gets me more compliments than my posts.
>Sleeping time has shifted frm 11.30 pm to 12.30 pm.(Lord, save me from dark circles.)
>My first Blog Award, 21 followers on gfc, and 27 likes on FB..all in a month! (not bad at all)
>Chance to participate in the In-fb challenge For Splash.
>Learnt to change size of pics through html codes. (I know..I am technologically challenged)
>Comments make me happy..the more the merrier. So, keep them coming.
>Wonderful frens in the blog world..thnx for all the encouragement.
>Forced my husband to like my fb page..but still trying to make him read all my posts. Perseverance is the key. ;)

So why don't you take some rest while I do my Happy Dance.
