6 Years of Blogging

So-Saree completed 6 years of existence on the 16th of this month.
We celebrated it with a beach vacation.

Last year was quite laid back, but I really wouldn't do it any other way. Because Baby Ishanvi will and always be a priority.
But the truth also remains, that So-Saree will always be my first baby and something I am really passionate about. And so, So-Saree will continue on its journey. It might be slow, laid back and might have a few hiccups too. But, yes we will do it. Because it's so worth it.

Like every year, I want to thank all my readers, followers and fellow blogger friends who have encouraged and inspired me always. I Am because You Are!

To celebrate our 6th Blogoversary, we are announcing a giveaway.

Website Review: PreciousYou.in

I have said this time and before.
One of the best things about blogging is being able to discover and connect with innovative brands/products/people from across the globe. My six years of blogging journey introduced me to an amazing gamut of creative brands who believe in providing unique products backed with premium quality.

One such brand that I recently came across was PreciousYou.in
One look at their website and I wanted to own their entire collection.
But hoarding is not a good thing. ;)
In a world full of greed, we really need to differentiate between our needs and wants.
And so, I patiently went through their entire website and picked 3 products for myself, which was a very tough decision; I must say.

PreciousYou is a start up online jewellery brand who believes that beautiful things shouldn’t necessarily be pricey. Hence they continually strive to source and curate the most exclusive fashion accessories from across the globe at a price that is affordable for most. They have jewellery pieces sourced from Afghanistan, Nepal and even Kazakhstan.

The website is user friendly and very easy to navigate. After placing my order, I waited for my package to arrive; while I received regular updates about my package being dispatched and when it will be delivered to my place.
I received the products within a week, and I was really happy to see that the products justified everything that their website claimed. The pieces were intricately crafted to precision with superior finishing.
I absolutely loved my shopping experience with PreciousYou.in
The products were love at first sight and I cant wait to style them on my blog in the coming weeks.

So stay tuned for more.

Product Review: AM Greens Hair Mask

Hey guys..I know I have been missing in action on the blog front. But offline, I have been trying out some amazing products. So, stay tuned for a number of product review posts.
Today's post is about a Hair product I recently tried.
My last post on how I controlled my post partum hair loss turned out to be quite popular, as I saw many a readers sharing it on their social media platforms.

Today's post is a continuation of the hair care routine post pregnancy.
Yes, I was able to control my postpartum hair loss quite well. But what after that?

Well, my hair is not the same as it used to be. It has turned dry, frizzy and I do experience the regular hairfall issue as well.

A few weeks ago, I got to use a product I had heard a lot about. Its the AM Greens Hair Mask which is available at Euphorbia Box.

What I like about this product is that it is 100% natural and the long list of its awesome ingredients which include Organic Moroccan Argan Oil, Jojoba oil, Bitter Almond oil, aloe vera and other good stuff. The product claims to help repair the damage and combat hairfall.

This product looks like a conditioner. It has to be applied to the roots of well combed hair and then comb the hair from root to tip post application.

This mask has to be left in the hair overnight and then has to be washed off with a gentle shampoo.

I have medium length hair, and this 100 gm mask last me for 2 applications.
After the application, I thought I would have to wear a shower cap while sleeping. But the product did not leave the hair wet or sticky and absorbed really well.
The next day, I washed my hair with regular shampoo.
Surprisingly, my hair fall during the wash was minimal, but I thought it could just be a co-incidence.
After I air dried my hair, my hair felt smooth. But they were still the regular dry and frizzy self.
The following week, I experienced lesser hairfall, but it wasn't drastic.
A week later I repeated the application. And when I washed my hair, my hairfall had size-ably reduced. And post drying my hair felt better.

My Verdict:
Since this is a natural product, I don't think you will see instant results. But I am slowly seeing results after each application. Hair loss is minimal and my hair texture seems to be getting better with every application.

I think its a must try if you are looking for a good long term hair care routine.
For a price tag of Rs. 99, I think its a complete steal and worth a try.

How I controlled my Postpartum Hair Loss

The postpartum phase is a very sensitive one.
If you are fortunate enough you don't get/or get little affected by PPD.
Your body is sore from birthing and breast feeding, you are sleep deprived and clueless about how you will actually figure out the parenting thing.
Amidst all this (as if this was not enough) you encounter one more postpartum phenomenon. It's real and no one can escape it.

Post Partum Hair Loss!

For some it may begin immediately after they come home from the hospital, or in a month or in most cases between 2.5 - 4 months post delivery.
Mine started at 2.5 months, and until then, I sincerely thought I won't be affected by it.
But the inevitable happened and it freaked me out.
The hair fall was so bad, that I genuinely thought that I would go bald.

Desperate Times call for Desperate Measures.
I asked all my friends, relatives and colleagues and they gave me tips that were too ambitious for a new mom. I couldn't sit for an hour wearing a yogurt hair mask or make a hair mask with aloe vera and fenugreek seeds.
I needed something easy and quick and so I did the following.
3 products that I used to control my postpartum hair loss:

1) Aswini Hair Oil
2)
Richfeel Anatea
3) Cipla Tugain 5

I oiled my hair twice a week with Aswini hair oil, left it in my hair overnight and washed it with my regular shampoo and conditioner the next day.
I gulped down a cup every day of the RichFeel AnaTea.I applied Tugain 5 every night on my receding hair line and massaged it gently for a minute.

I started seeing results in 2 months.
Not only was my hair loss down to normal, but I also started seeing new hair growth on my receding hair line.

I am not sure if a single product worked these wonders, as I would like to believe that it was the power of these 3 that made the difference.

I am glad, my postpartum hair loss was short lived.

Tell me what did you do to control your postpartum hair loss?
